GRANDPARENTS DAY

The whole school celebrated their grandparents (or elderly people) by having their own Grandparents Day.

In our class we had 6 grandparents and they shared what life was like during their schooling days. They talked about large class sizes, bossy teachers, and boys getting into mischief with ink pots and how to play marbles. The scariest of all was the talk about getting the cane or the strap - I bet that hurt!
What a lovely story

BUNTOKU ORIGAMI

On Tuesday we had a visit from some of the exchange students from Buntoko High School. They spent a period with us showing how to do Japanese paper folding or origami. It was a lot of fun folding traditional cranes and other birds, although the boys enjoyed the paper darts most of all.
