Origami - Bontuko High School

The Year 1-3 students were being taught origami by the Japanese exchange students from Bontuko High School. We made paper darts, Japanese Cranes and lots of other wonderful items. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Class play - Jolly Roger and the Coconuts

Last Friday Group 1 did their play in front of the class. They did really well, I was so proud that they learnt their lines without using the book, plus they also wore and used props. Go you fledgling thespians!

Road Safety

How to cross a road.

The Tui and the Pukeko Class were learning about road safety. We learnt to use our ears and our eyes when crossing the road. Mr Donovan showed us what to do and then we had to cross by ourselves. It was a bit frightening but we all made it across the road and back again. Yay.
Stop, watch and wait.

Cross now.

Look first.

Here comes a human car!

Good looking and waiting.

Class Play - Peter and the Wolf

Welcome to Week 6

It is hard to believe but we are already half way through Term 1.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf
Attached are some photos of some students from the Tui class doing a class play called 'The boy who cried wolf'. The acting students did an excellent job, I was particularly proud that they didn't need to rely on their book and had rehearsed their words.
It is a great play with a very good theme/moral that was discussed in the class.

Enjoy the photos.
