RURU CLASS
This year the Year 3 class choose the Ruru (Morepork) as their class name. They liked the facts that the Ruru was a small but noisy bird, I wasn't too sure about that connection! Maori folklore says that the Ruru also represents wisdom and safety. The class also liked these characteristics and agreed that the Ruru was the best NZ native bird to represent them in 2016.
