Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution Day

The school participated in the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Day on May 15. This is a global event to help educate children on healthy eating, this year the children made Jamie's nutritious 'Smash It' sandwich. The students had a great time preparing fresh fruit and vegetables for their sandwich. The sandwiches were yum!

Here are some photos of our class enjoying themselves.

A huge thanks to Mrs Morrison for her idea and organisation.
Delicious vegetables and fruit.

This is how you do it.

One for me and one for you.

I'll cut and you pack.

Nice and small pieces please.

I'm the cutter you just watch.

Smash it!

Just one more handful.
Looks delicious.

Yum!

Yes, doubly yum!

That's for sure!

TIRITIRI MATANGI

We had an outstanding day at Tiri.

The Tui class loved looking at their namesake as well as the many other beautiful birds that reside on this magical island.

The day finished with a beach clean up at Hobbs Beach, we collected plastic, fishing lines and glass.
